At St. Ebbe's we have developed a unique curriculum which unleashes the creativity of children and staff and which parents love.

We can support you in designing a curriculum which stems from your school vision and which reflects the needs of your community.

Play-based learning in ks1

Why are we ignoring the neuroscience and persisting with ‘traditional’ pedagogies in Key Stage 1? There is a perception that young children learn best at desks when in fact research tells us that whilst children’s brain development is at its most rapid, they need high-quality play-based provision.

At St. Ebbe’s this provision extends to the end of Year 2. Children’s academic outcomes have never been better with many exceeding age-related expectations. They are engaged, happy and thriving at school.

This training will empower you with the research and pedagogical justification for why play is fundamental.
